My folks were extremely fond of you, and we're all grateful for the friendship you extended to them.Barrett Tillmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03425564115230375081noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-255017417572891099.post-83194763585009964462014-04-29T01:17:16.756-07:002014-04-29T01:17:16.756-07:00I certainly miss the old curmudgeon. I was so looking forward to having him out to the "compound" for a little birthday celebration.

I spent more than a few nights on the couch at the Tillman house. I can say without reservation that I've never known more gracious hosts than Jack and Beverly Tillman. And the hours I spent with Jack in his Man Cave were always interesting and memorable. One regret I have is that I never had the opportunity to fly with him.

Although he had a reputation as a bit of a curmudgeon, he obviously more than met his match when he moved into Brookside. When I would be there visiting him, at least one or two of the young girls would ALWAYS stop by his room to check on him and visit, without fail. It was obvious they adored him, . . . and he was always very gracious to them. It was a side of him I had never seen. His cover had been blown. Jim Pricenoreply@blogger.com
